Deputies arrested a 15-year-old Port Charlotte boy for shooting three of his school buddies Thursday after they ‘just said no,’ refusing to smoke fake pot with him, according to a news release from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
Two of the boys told deputies their buddy shot them with a pellet gun, causing open wounds and bleeding. The 14-year-old friend was shot in the back; the 15-year-old boy was shot in the calf, thumb and bicep. The third boy, 15, had been shot in the face — about an inch-and-a-half below his right eye, on the back of each arm, and twice in the back, the report stated.
The teen had apparently got annoyed when one of the boys smacked the joint of fake pot out of his hand. He left, but returned with the pellet gun, which he had hidden in his shirt and began to shoot his buddies, the report stated.
Deputies were dispatched to a home where the homeowner reportedly told them the teen was hiding in a bedroom. She then gave deputies permission to force the locked door open, according to the report.
The teen was arrested and during a search deputies allegedly found he had two cell phones — one of which belonged to the 14-year-old boy who had dropped it after he was shot.
What a pal.
