Officers found two small black cameras hidden in a fitting room at the Target at Lake Square Mall where a woman had just tried on a bikini, according to the arrest affidavit. They found 34-year-old Bryan Thomas Drey, a Social Security manager from Sorrento, in the room next door, who at first denied he’d recorded anything.
The woman told officers she initially saw one of the devices when she was trying on a swimsuit, according to the report. The woman tried to grab the device, which was sticking out of a small hole leading to the other fitting room, but Drey pulled the device away.
Officers and a Lake County deputy sheriff later found two devices hidden in the fitting room wall, one of which was still recording. Drey later admitted he’d recorded other women on several other occasions in the last year. He was arrested on a video voyeurism charge and taken to the Lake County Jail. He is being held on $2,000 bond.
