Here’s a wedding that the guests will never forget, especially the bride’s new in-laws.
Tammy Lee Hinton of Port Richey had just said “I do” when officers swooped in and arrested her on Saturday at the City of Zion Ministries church in Jackson, Mich., reports the St. Petersburg Times.
The bride had been wanted for two years on a Michigan warrant for identity theft.
The victim of the ripoff was her son, according to authorities.
When authorities got a tip about her wedding they made plans to to give her some jewelry for a gift — handcuffs.
Hinton was booked Saturday at the Jackson County jail in her bridal attire. After posing bail she managed to make it back in time for part of her wedding reception, the deputy director of the Blackman Leoni Department of Public Safety told the St.Petersburg Times.
But Hinton was a no-show at her Monday arraignment.
Just another runaway bride.
