When a gun-toting robber demanded the gas station attendant’s cellphone, she instead gave him the finger and he fled with a candy bar, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
The clerk was behind protective glass when the robber walked into the Shell gas station at 2701 W. Sunrise Blvd. about 9 p.m. Dec. 4. with a large weapon concealed in a garbage bag.
Surveillance video captured the man grabbing a Snickers bar before going to the counter, pulling a rifle from the bag and demanding the employee’s cellphone.
The attendant recognized the robber as a regular customer and instead held up both arms and flipped him off, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The robber tried to open the door to get behind the counter, but was unsuccessful. He fled with the Snickers bar.
