A Fort Myers man is accused of punching a friend, knocking her tooth out and then raping her inside his car early Thursday in North Naples.
The woman told deputies she was at a bar with her husband and their friend, George Lewis Joseph III, when she and Joseph got kicked out. On the way out of the bar, Joseph slammed her head into a car and knocked her front tooth out, according to an arrest report.
Joseph, 34, smiled as he continued punching her as they drove out of the parking lot, the victim said. He eventually parked at a CVS on U.S. 41 North, where he ripped her pants off and forced her to have sex with him, according to an arrest report.
The woman was able to get away and was found shortly after in front of the Landmark Naples community. Deputies found Joseph sleeping in his car in the CVS parking lot, reports said.
Joseph, of the 18000 block of Bartow Boulevard, faces charges of aggravated battery and resisting arrest without violence. Detectives still are investigating the sexual battery, a report said.
