A man who caused a disturbance at the Fort Walton Beach YMCA was arrested for disorderly conduct.
On Aug. 21 Fort Walton Beach Police received a complaint from the Y about a man causing problems at the facility.
The officer who responded found a man matching the description walking in the parking lot. He asked the man about the incident and the man said a lady in the YMCA “game me s— and I gave her s— back.”
The officer said he was told the man was using profanity in front of children. The man became apologetic “and began to cry and begged me not to arrest him,” the officer wrote in the arrest report.
The officer noted the man’s eyes were bloodshot and smelled like alcohol.
The man continued to use profanity in the presence of children and other family members, drawing stares from passersby. Despite the officer’s warning, he continued cursing, so the officer arrested him.
He was charged with disorderly intoxication and disorderly conduct. His court date is Sept. 11.
