A licensed massage therapist was arrested for allegedly massaging “extra things” at the Sunset Spa on US 41 in Bonita Springs, according to Lee County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Deputies say they have received numerous complaints about prostitution at the location so an undercover officer posed as a massage client.
“Our detectives went in there and set up a sting,” said Sergeant Stephanie Eller, with the sheriff’s office.
The undercover deputy and Li Lu Jennings agreed on $50 for a half hour massage.
During the massage, Jennings offered to massage “extra things,” reports said.
When the massage was nearly over, Jennings offered to massage his genitals for an extra $50, reports said.
After Jennings began massaging his genitals, a prearranged takedown signal was given and Jennings was arrested.
After her arrest, deputies explained the reason for her arrest. She then said, “I was only rubbing here,” and made a hand motion over her genital area, reports said.
She also stated that she only rubbed his stomach and girls usually got $50 to massage “that area,” again pointing to her genitals, reports said.
“It went a little farther in this case, most likely because of the fact that she is a licensed masseuse, so what she was offering, we didn’t know if it was going to meet something that would have met the description of a sex crime,” Sgt. Eller said.
Jennings was charged with one count of prostitution.
Jennings is a licensed massage therapist in the state of Florida.
