On August 15, 2012 at an undetermined time, the complainant (a Tampa Bay News Reporter) received a text message on her company phone. The text message was sent from a cellular phone with an 813 area code. The sent message stated “seems like I gotta make threats to be heard , its F……. up how I’m being done with my kids but if I go and blow up the H.K.I East Care Center then everyone is gonna want to listen then.”
On August 15, 2012 the complainant viewed the text message and contacted law enforcement to report the incident.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to the 4520 Oak Fair Blvd., Eckerd Community Alternative formerly known as Hillsborough Kids, Inc. to search the building but was met with negative results.
At approximately 8:40 p.m. a Sergeant with the Sheriff’s Office responded to the defendant’s residence after determining the ownership of the phone that the message was received from. The defendant acknowledged the phone number as hers and showed the Sergeant her cell phone. The defendant admitted that she sent the text to the complainant (news reporter).
Henry was taken into custody and charged with Threatening to discharge a destructive device.
