A driver fired four shots at a park ranger for giving him a parking ticket at Kwane Doster Park, police said.
The ranger was unhurt and the driver escaped.
The incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. when ranger James R. Davidson, 43, was writing a parking citation on a car in the park at Tarpon and Elliott. A man suddenly appeared and began cursing at him, police said.
The man got into his car, drove to the other side of the parking lot, fired possibly four shots at Davidson, and fled.
Davidson was not hurt or injured, police said, but one of the bullets hit an occupied house. No one inside was hurt.
