A man contacted the Walton County Sheriff’s Office after he was waved down by a bleeding man near Girl Scout Road, reports The Northwest Florida News.
The Nov. 26 investigation revealed that the victim had been attacked that day by Mossy Head residents Joshua Drake, 29, and Willie Drake, 52.
The Drakes allegedly struck the victim in the head with a golf club after an alleged dispute with Nora Jordan, their 49-year-old sister. The incident happened at a home on West Clover Lane.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office charged the three siblings with aggravated battery, a second-degree felony.
Deputies questioned Jordan on Nov. 27 after she and her brothers provided conflicting statements.
“The investigation further revealed that Jordan allegedly provided false statements and attempted to destroy evidence,” said Mike Morrison, a spokesman for the WCSO.
Jordan was also found to be in possession of methamphetamines.
In addition to the aggravated battery charge, Jordan was charged with one count of accessory after the fact, a third-degree felony; and one count of possession of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony.
