A Florida man is facing 100 counts of child pornography after his arrest allegedly while videotaping children showering at a Broward County beach, reports The Palm Beach Post.
Broward Sheriff’s Office investigators say 66-year-old John Field was spotted Nov. 23 by a Deerfield Beach lifeguard videotaping young girls in public showers. The girls were mostly under 5 years old.
Later authorities went to Field’s home where searches of media storage devices yielded at least 50,000 child pornography images. Most were of girls between 1 and 12 years old and some were of young boys.
Field was jailed Tuesday in lieu of $1.45 million bail. Court records show the public defender is representing him but no individual attorney is named.
