A home health nurse stands accused of attacking her paraplegic client while intoxicated, reports the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
Debra Jo Given allegedly became drunk and demanded $40 from a male paraplegic client in Sarasota.
She then began her shakedown of the poor man: The 49-year-old nurse reportedly shoved a bedside table in his direction, jumped on top of him, tried to pull a catheter tube out of him and shook him and his bed. The witnesses claimed they had to physically remove Given from the man.
